Phoebe | South Florida Senior Portrait Session
Posted on July 21, 2014
Phoebe is an incredible young woman. In the 5 months that I have known her, she only continues to impress me with her faith, kindness, humor, and all around general awesomeness. The other thing I love about Phoebe? She is also a photographer and you can see some of her work on instagram!!
Phoebe is will be starting college at PBA in about a month, so we headed over to West Palm Beach for her session. These weren’t her official senior portraits, but more of a chance for her and I to have some fun, and for her to take a moment to be in front of the camera. As photographers, we are always the ones taking the photos, and sometimes it is nice to be on the other end. Plus, I adore Phoebe’s style, so I couldn’t resist playing with her for a little bit. =)
Thank you, Phoebe, for allowing me to photograph you. You are amazing!
Colleen + Albert | Second Shooting | Wedding Photography
Posted on July 16, 2014
Photographers often hire other photographers to be their second shooters when doing weddings to allow for greater event day coverage and a greater variety of perspectives. One of the benefits of networking with fellow photographers in your area is that you can often form bonds that will allow you to hire people that you trust to second shoot for you. And it is fun to work with your friends! =)
** A Tip for Aspiring Photographers: A great way to get valuable experience and break into the photography industry is to second shoot and/or assist a fellow photographer. I have often taken my students with me to weddings and events as my “third shooter” in order to allow them to learn. They often take great shots and walk away with so much hands on knowledge. Pick a few photographers in your area whose work you admire and who shoot the kind of photography you want to get into, and send out a kind email to each of them. You will be surprised just how many photographers are looking for assistants. I know I always need someone to hold a reflector for me! If you are willing to work for free in exchange for the learning experience, it will help you immensely. Even if all they offer you is assisting with no shooting, you will learn a TON just from watching them work. Also, if you need a good, supportive group to be a part of, I am in one on FB that rocks. Contact me and I will get you in!**
Even though I am a experienced photographer who has shot many of my own weddings, I still enjoy second shooting because it allows me to see how another photographer perspective and way of doing things, which can be so inspiring. It is also a lot less pressure to not be the main photographer in charge of the day.
My friend Lauren of Lauren Louise photography is a amazing photographer, and a few months ago I shot Colleen + Albert’s wedding with her as her second shooter. I have been meaning to share a few of my favorites images from that day here on the blog.
I have a cute story to tell about this first photo of Albert below. Albert was running a bit late on wedding day. He rushed to get dressed, and his nerves got the best of him. Despite the fact that he ties bow-ties all the time (they even had bow-tie napkins at the reception), he just could not get his tie tied correctly. When I took the portrait below of Albert, his tie was still a bit off, but I love this picture because it captures the emotion of the day. Albert’s sister eventually helped him tie his tie perfectly a few mins before the ceremony started, but it is this picture that reminds me of just how special weddings really are.
Angelic Warfare | South Florida Band Photography Session
Posted on July 14, 2014
I seriously had SO much fun photographing the band Angelic Warfare the other day in Downtown West Palm Beach. These young men are not only amazing musicians, but they write music that glorifies the Lord, which makes it all the more awesome. Taylor, Colby, and Jake are a big part of my church community and I loved getting a chance to showcase these guys through photography.
I hope you enjoy these photos as much as the guys and I do!
Thanks guys for spending the afternoon with me! It was a blast!
I love photographing groups! If you have a band or a group of friends that you’ve always wanted to take some photos with, contact me today!
Let Freedom Ring!
Posted on July 4, 2014
Happy Independence Day!! Let’s celebrate freedom!
“And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, ‘Free at last! Free at last! Thank God almighty, we’re free at last!'” -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Today, let’s celebrate our freedom to love ❤ ❤ ❤
“To love a person is to learn the song that is in their heart, and to sing it to them when they have forgotten.” ~ Arne Garborg
Hope you’re watching some fireworks tonight! Happy Birthday, U.S.A.
Kaylee | Class of 2014: South Florida Senior Session [Delray Beach]
Posted on June 16, 2014
When Kaylee first contacted me, I was immediately impressed with her. This high school junior had just graduated a year early, and because of that amazing accomplishment, she never got a chance to do senior pictures. Already accepted and heading to FSU in just a few weeks, Kaylee wanted to surprise her mom with senior pictures of herself to celebrate her incredible accomplishment. I could not have been more thrilled to help Kaylee accomplish that goal, and with the rain holding, we were able to do just that.
In the middle of shooting our session, we both saw something moving in the grass. Unsure of what it was, we proceeded cautiously, only to find this adorable little bunny wanted in on the action!
Thank you, Kaylee, for allowing me to help you celebrate such an amazing and exciting time in your life. I know that when you head off to FSU in a week, it is going to be the start of an awesome journey. I wish you nothing but the best as you embark on this new phase of your life. Congratulations!
Camile Teresa Photography is booking the class of 2015 right now! Contact me to reserve your session as spots for the summer and early fall fill quickly! If you are in the class of 2014 and missed your senior pictures, it isn’t too late. I’d love to help you celebrate your success!
Ally | South Florida Dance Recital Portrait Session
Posted on May 31, 2014
I danced from the age of two and a half until I was nineteen. Jazz, ballet, tap, you name it. I was on dance teams in both high school (shout out to my Atlantic High School Eagle-Ettes & Co.) and college. To this day, I would rather dance than do pretty much anything else active in my free time, and zumba is my favorite workout.
You can imagine how happy I was to get the opportunity to capture Ally in her costume for her upcoming jazz dance recital with her dance studio. Ally is an awesome girl who shined in her session; both figuratively and literally. Check out the snazz on her costume!
Ally was an absolute dream to photograph!! She is a beautiful girl inside and out. Thank you to Ally, and her mom Rosemary, for allowing me to capture this awesome moment in her life!
Rebecca | Class of 2015: South Florida Senior Portrait Session
Posted on May 27, 2014
I know I say this in almost every post lately, but man, shooting this year’s seniors and juniors is making me feel old. You see, my little sister and Rebecca grew up together and have been friends since I can remember. Getting to do Rebecca’s senior pictures was so amazing! I can’t believe that this young woman will be graduating so soon!
For Rebecca’s session, I knew I wanted something classic and timeless. Rebecca is vibrant, fun, and a little vintage. Luckily I was able to find this amazing park to shoot in that had lots of different areas for us to play in. The light was beautiful, and Rebecca rocked it. Seriously. After nearly every frame I was grinning with how awesome the light was, and how comfortable Rebecca was in front of the camera. I’ve said it once and I will say it again, I absolutely adore shooting seniors!
Rebecca, it was so awesome to work with you for your senior portraits! I know God has many wonderful things in store for you as you enter into the next stage of your life!
Are you in the class of 2014 or 2015? Seniors are my absolute favorite and I would love to grab a frappuccino or a cup of ice cream and plan your senior session with you today! Contact me to find out more!
Sonderegger Family + Grandparents | Spring 2014: South Florida Family Portraits
Posted on May 24, 2014
When I was in highschool, I used to baby-sit the Sonderegger boys two to three times a month. It hard for me to believe that now the eldest of these boys, Michael, is officially graduated from high school and heading off to FSU in the fall. To celebrate Michael’s graduation, both sets of his grandparents came into town, and it was an awesome opportunity to capture this amazing extended family!
Thank you to Carrie + Fred for allowing me to capture such a special time in your family’s life. Congratulations on Michael’s graduation! He is such an incredible young man!

Behind the Scenes | Ryan’s Senior Portrait Session
Posted on May 13, 2014
I like to keep it all in the family. Whether that is my immediate family, my friends, or my church family. When we shot Ryan’s senior session last month, my good friend JD came along to help with the shoot. He and Ryan are both part of our amazing church family, and it was so awesome to get to work with them both.
While I was shooting, JD took some cool behind the scenes shots with my iPhone that I thought would be fun to share (I am always curious as to what other photographers look like while shooting).
Want to see what I saw through my lens?
Thanks JD and Ryan for making this photo session so much fun! It is always more fun to do what I love when I love the people I am doing it for! =)
Also, in case you are wondering, that is my Kelly Moore Chapel Backpack I am shooting with, and my Sew Tamz camera strap. Neither of these companies have compensated my to talk about their products, I just love them so I thought I would share!
